Laser Treatment Spider Veins
Spider Veins, or telangiectasias, are those small red, blue and purple blood vessels that appear most frequently on the face and thighs. Varicose Veins are usually larger than 1/4 inch in diameter and may appear raised with a bluish color we do not treat varicose veins. However, we have had wonderful success with Spider veins.
Laser Vein Therapy
Today’s new medical lasers provide safe and effective non-surgical treatment options for the removal of spider and varicose veins. Our new, advanced laser treatments allow us to deliver a precise dosage of energy to each vein. During your treatment, light energy is delivered through a special laser hand piece to the targeted vein, in a series of brief pulses. The light energy is absorbed by the blood vessels, but not the surrounding tissue. This heat absorption causes a coagulation of the blood vessel, which is subsequently absorbed by your body. Veins on the face must be treated with glycolic to prepare the skin for laser vein removal.

Laser Treatment for Hyper Pigmentation
Hyperpigmentation is a common condition where the skin develops dark spots or patches in some areas in comparison to the surrounding skin. Skin discolouration may develop by trauma to the skin, as sun spots or age spots, and melasma which are common reactions to sun exposure and aging.
Depending on your own body’s healing capabilities, many individuals develop hyperpigmentation after cuts or burns. Those who have had severe acne tend to develop hyperpigmentation and scarring once the acne has passed. Those who are prone to hyperpigmentation should avoid excessive picking or scratching of the skin as this may cause enough damage to signal your skin’s natural response which is to hyperpigment.
Sun spots or age spots are brown discolorations which are flush with the skin usually present on the face, neck, chest, and back of the hands otherwise known as liver spots. It is a common condition developed when there is an excess of melanin deposits in the skin.
Melasma, another form of hyperpigmentation, is a uniform brown color usually seen over the cheeks, forehead, nose, or upper lip. Hyperpigmentation due to Melasma may appear through sun exposure as well as hormonal changes such as during pregnancy, puberty, and by taking oral contraceptives.
Hyper-Pigmentation happens when there is an overproduction or uneven production of melanin. Melanin is a pigment produced by the basal cells of the dermis called melanocytes. (See fig 1.2) These cells coexist with other cells called keratinocytes, which are the dead cells forming the stratum corneum or epidermis (top layer of the skin).
Many factors can cause over or uneven production of melanin. These include birth control pills, pregnancy, hormone replacement therapy, sun exposure, drugs containing phototoxic agents, abrasions or acne.
- Always wear sun protection, even while indoors.
